America's Future
Some of the pictures that Robert Rodriguez took
at our watchfire, I thought that you would all like to see some of America's
future. Three of the pictures are of the cub scout troop raising our
nation's colors and rendering it their respect. The other picture is of the
boots, helmets, and goggles that we used for our field crosses. The ones on
the left are from WW2 and Korea. The center boots are from the Vietnam Era
and were worn by Robert Rodriguez in Vietnam. That is Central Highlands
scuffs and dirt on them and they were used by Roland Castanie to create "Job
well done Brother". The pair on the right were worn in Iraq by PFC Nathanel
Givens when he lost his life defending our country as a member of the 1st
Cav Division. His Family hung a set of dog tags on the field cross in his
honor. We will have our 16th Annual Watchfire next Memorial Day week end and
you will always be welcome to join us as we remember those who paid the
ultimate price and those who have gone on before us.
